Site de création littéraire plus ou moins expérimentale
Un Whisky, double, sans glace. Un autre. Et encore un autre. Ne sert rien. Noyer dans l’alcool. J’ai pu faire ça, dans le temps. Les médocs aus-si. Médicaments : pilules blanches, bleues, inertes, abruties. Encore un peu d’alcool, une petite pilule que je ne connais pas et encore un verre. Aujourd’hui c’est inutile, je le sais. Je sais bien que ça ne marchera pas. Ça ne me fait même pas plaisir. À quoi bon continuer ?
— Where are we ?
— What do you mean ?
— Where are we ? Which street ?
Réponse du barman, rude, sèche, bourrue, agacée, presque excédée d’être prononcée si tard. Les mots n’ont plus beaucoup de sens, ce soir.
— Where did you say we were ?
Seconde réponse. Identique sans doute, tout fait excédée cette fois.
— Call me a cab, will you ?
Il marmonne quelque chose que je ne comprends pas, l’esprit embru-mé. Pas assez mon go »t, mais ça suffit déj se perdre.
— Where did you say we were, again ?
— For the third time...
Cette fois je comprends.
— Cancel the cab, it’s ok, I’ll walk. It’s just nearby.
Le barman semble vouloir me poser une question, mais il se reprend dans un soupir mi indifférent, mi exaspéré.
